What's your favorite foreign accent?
I'm a big fan of the eastern European/Russian accent, mostly for it's comedy value. If I were to pick a new accent for myself, I'd probably go for a light Edinburgh-ish. However, I attatch far more value to the qualities of a person's voice, than their accent.
I encounter very few voices that I really enjoy listening to, whatever the accent.
I'm moved in and luckily enough, there was an unsecured wireless connection in range (barely -- it only seems to work from my room). I guess I'm getting settled in alright, the only problem I have with the place is how distant it is from everywhere (45 minute walk to university!..).
Anyway, I'm here, and providing this wifi keeps working until we get our own connection, it'll stay like that.
This'll be my first, and possibly last entry for awhile (that may be a lie, I might do the Scavenger Hunt later if I can think of something more interesting than 'my laptop'). I leave for my final year of university in the wee hours of tomorrow morning, and will have no internet connection for an unspecified amount of time... It could be that there's already one there, or it could be a month. Who knows?
